We serve as consultants to the home owner during the building process. We work with contractors that will be willing to
work with the home owner to provide them with a dry-in shell that they can finish off themselves, or do a complete turn-key package where all they have to do is “move in. "Tomahawk Log & Country Homes can provide custom components and accents which allow you to personalize your dream home and create a lifetime of memories. Many specialty log components are included as standard. All components are hand hewn and not machined."

Log Siding

"The Energy-Log™ insulated half-log siding construction system enables you to build without the limitations commonly associated with full-log construction, including warping, twisting or settling. The exterior wall system consists of 2 by 6-inch framed walls, vapor barrier, 6-inch fiberglass insulation, 1-inch foil faced sheathing and your choice of half-log or cedar siding styles. Half-log packages are available in our Saddle-Lok™, Cross-Lok™, Verti-Lok™ and Verti-Log™ corner systems. Combinations of these are also common in many homes. All logs used in these systems are hand hewn, dip treated twice and air/kiln dried. For a more contemporary appearance, Beveled Edge Cedar and Wavy Edge Cedar are also available. All of our siding systems come with special exterior wood stains, caulk and fasteners. For existing structures, any of our siding systems can be used to remodel or wrap. Log siding information. "

Roof

"The roof consists of standard trusses, scissor trusses or a 2 by 14-inch rafter system. All of our roof systems include proper vents, minimum 12-inch fiberglass insulation,5/8-inch CDX plywood or OSB sheathing, 15-pound felt, ice and water shield, fiberglass or asphalt shingles with continuous ridge and soffit vents."

Interiors

"Another advantage of Energy-Log™ construction is the ability to select a variety of interior finishes. Options may include log rafters and collar ties, half log or Chalet-Log™ as an interior log finish, rough cut beams, knotty pine, wainscot, drywall or any combination you prefer. All log beams, collar ties one-cut rafters and knotty pine cathedral ceilings are included as standard items."

Floors

"The floor system consists of floor trusses, dimensional lumber or pre-engineered wood products. All bridging, blocking, plates, etc. are included. We also include a 3/4-inch high performance sub floor as standard."

The Exterior

"The exterior wall system consists of 2"x6" framed walls, vapor barrier, 6" fiberglass insulation, 1" foil faced sheathing and your choice of half log or cedar siding styles. Windows and Doors

Our standard window package is a high performance double hung, which is double glazed, low E coated and insulated with Argon gas. We also offer casement windows, awnings, picture units, bows, bays, trapezoids, round tops and slidebys. All windows come standard with extension jambs, removable grills and maintenance-free clad exteriors. All swing set, sliding, insulated steel doors and entry hardware are standard.
